This 5-day itinerary takes you on a journey through some of Sri Lanka's most iconic destinations. You'll discover ancient sites, cultural landmarks, picturesque towns, and stunning natural landscapes. You'll start with a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Dambulla and Sigiriya. Then, you'll head to Kandy, the cultural capital of Sri Lanka, where you'll explore the Temple of the Tooth Relic, Kandy Lake, Kandy View Point, an evening cultural dance show and the fascinating local markets. Your journey will continue to the beautiful hill station of Nuwara Eliya, where you'll visit tea plantations, enjoy scenic views, The tour will then continue your trip in the charming town of Ella, known for its serene atmosphere, scenic views, and hiking trails. Next, you'll head to Yala National Park for a chance to see elephants, leopards, and other wildlife in their natural habitat.

Airport to Dambulla
Your guide meets you at the airport and then you'll head to Dambulla to see the Golden Temple, which has over 150 Buddha statues and detailed murals covering the walls. You'll get a feel for village life through bullock cart and canoe rides, learn how locals handle daily household tasks, and try some regional dishes. After all that, you'll check into your hotel for the night.

Dambulla - Sigiriya - Kandy

After breakfast at the hotel, you're off to Sigiriya Lion Rock Fortress to see the ancient frescoes and mirror wall up close. From there you'll drive to Kandy and check out the Temple of the Tooth, which holds Buddha's relic. You can walk around Kandy Lake and head up to Kandy View Point for the views across the area. By evening, there's a cultural dance performance with traditional Sri Lankan music and dancing.

You'll eat breakfast and then head to Ambuluwawa, a hilltop spot with a tower offering 360-degree views and a butterfly garden. The drive takes you through tea plantations on the way to Nuwara Eliya. At a tea factory, you'll see how tea gets made and taste some for yourself. There's also a Hindu temple to visit and Ramboda Waterfalls, which drops 109 meters/358 feet. You'll stay at your hotel in Nuwara Eliya overnight.

Start with breakfast at your hotel, then go to Gregory Lake where you can take scenic walks and boat rides surrounded by hills. In the evening, you'll board a scenic train from Nanu Oya heading toward Ella. The route goes through tea plantations and countryside. You'll arrive in Ella after dark and check into your hotel.

Following breakfast, you'll explore Ella's main spots like Little Adam's Peak (about 1,141 meters/3,743 feet high with a 30 minute to one hour hike), the Nine Arch Bridge with its interesting design, and Ravana Falls, a three-tier waterfall that's 25 meters/82 feet tall. Later you'll drive to Yala National Park for a safari where you might see elephants, leopards, sloth bears, and crocodiles. After the safari, you'll get dropped off in Colombo to finish your trip.
