This itinerary takes you on a journey through some of the most fascinating destinations in Sri Lanka. You will explore the city of Negombo before heading to Sigiriya. On the way, you will visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage and the Dambulla Cave Temple. In Sigiriya, you will climb the famous Sigiriya Rock Fortress and then proceed to Kandy. In Kandy, you will visit the Sacred Tooth Temple, the Gem Museum, and enjoy a cultural dance show.The journey continues from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya, where you will explore the scenic Ramboda Waterfalls, a tea factory, and tea estate, as well as the picturesque Gregory Lake. From Nuwara Eliya, you will head to Ella, where you can visit popular attractions like the Nine Arch Bridge, Ravan's Fall, and enjoy a train ride from Nanu Oya to Ella. Next, you will proceed to Yala National Park for an exciting safari experience and you will head to the coastal area for a beach stay. You will visit the historic Galle Fort, take a boat safari on the Madu River with a visit to Cinnamon Island, and explore a Turtle Hatchery & more.

You'll arrive at the airport and meet your English-speaking chauffeur who handles your transfer to Negombo. After settling into your hotel, head out on a boat ride through the mangrove forests where you can watch for water birds and local fishermen at work. Grab dinner and get some rest for your first night.

Breakfast at your hotel comes first, then you'll transfer to Dambulla to see the UNESCO World Heritage Cave Temple with its five caves containing Buddhist statues and paintings. The afternoon brings a traditional village tour with a bullock cart ride, canoe ride, tuk-tuk ride, and visits to see local fishing villages and traditional equipment. After dinner, you'll stay overnight in Dambulla.

After breakfast, you'll climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site offering views across the surrounding landscape from the top. Later you'll head to Kandy for the evening, which includes watching a traditional dance performance and visiting the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, Kandy Lake, and the Kandy View Point. Dinner at your hotel ends the day.

You'll spend the day exploring Kandy's natural attractions starting with the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden, one of Asia's largest gardens with bamboo groves, rare orchids, a Javan fig tree, and a suspension bridge. Next comes Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage where you can watch and interact with the elephants being fed and bathed. Stop by the Gem Museum to learn about Sri Lankan gemstones and watch cutting demonstrations. Return to your hotel for dinner.

After breakfast, you'll travel to Nuwara Eliya in the hill country and visit a tea plantation and factory to see production methods and taste different tea varieties. You'll also see Ramboda Waterfalls, which drops about 109 meters, and walk around Gregory Lake with its peaceful setting and nearby cafes. The cool mountain air and natural beauty of the area make for a relaxing overnight stay.

You'll take one of the world's most scenic train rides from Nanu Oya Railway Station to Ella, traveling through lush hills and tea plantations with great views the whole way. Once you arrive in Ella, you'll settle in for the night and have dinner at your hotel surrounded by mountain scenery.

The day is yours to explore Ella at your own pace. Visit the Nine Arches Bridge, a British colonial-era railway structure made of brick and stone. Trek to Little Adam's Peak for panoramic views over the hills, forests, and tea plantations, catching either morning or sunset views if you prefer. You can also check out the Demodara Railway Station area. Return to your hotel for dinner and another night here.

You'll depart for Yala National Park in southeast Sri Lanka, stopping along the way at Ravan's Falls, an 80-foot waterfall in the Ella Valley with lush surroundings good for picnicking. After arriving at the park, you'll go on a safari deep into the jungle to spot elephants, leopards, sloth bears, crocodiles, and various birds in their natural habitat. Back at your hotel, you'll relax and have dinner.

After breakfast, you'll travel to Galle Fort on the southern coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with preserved Portuguese, Dutch, and British colonial architecture including narrow streets, museums, cafes, and shops. The Galle Fort Church, built in the 18th century as a Dutch Reformed Church, shows fine colonial design and is one of the oldest Protestant churches in the country. From there you'll continue to Bentota for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast you'll head toward Colombo, stopping at the Madu River to explore mangrove forests and spot birds, then visiting Cinnamon Island to learn about cinnamon cultivation and sample products. You'll also visit a turtle hatchery to see baby turtles and help release them into the ocean as part of conservation efforts. Once in Colombo, the city tour includes Galle Face Green, Independence Square, Gangaramaya Temple, and the Old Parliament Building, with opportunities to shop at local markets. Your final night includes dinner at your hotel.
